A good bio and some kind of picture will probably be added when I have the energy.

I have kept records of parts of my life in different forms for over twenty-five years, but the last time I actually kept a personal, diary-like journal was when I was eleven, in 1965. This was short reminders of each day's events on a small weekly calendar my Dad gave me. The emphasis was recording beautiful or joyful things so I would never forget them. I wish I would have kept it. I never told anyone about it. I actually made a primitive, small journal-like writing in late 1961 when I was seven, which I've also never told anyone about and wish I still had. I created it at the end of summer so I would never forget my best days from the previous months. Forty-five years later, the summer of 2006, one marked at it's beginning by the saddness of Mom's death, is now also followed by a yearning to write. That writing, with just a few sentences because I'm very tired, will begin tonight, with no expectations about where it will lead or how long it will continue.
