first third of June was wonderful
I did indeed spend the whole Memorial Day weekend doing summer things, as I said I would. But I took 46 nice pictures, including one of Ghost on May 30th, and the rest on Saturday, May 29th when I was out on the Ohio River and pulled off in downtown Cincy for "A Taste of Cincinnati".

Here is a sample:

On Sunday, May 30th, I tried out my little green "kick boat" for the first time on the Great Miami River in downtown Dayton, and then went to Columbus, where we had a nice Memorial Day picnic on Monday, May 31st.

I was back on the Ohio River on Saturday, June 5th, but spent Sunday, June 6th on my bicycle around Dayton, including Old River and Hills and Dales parks. I'll get pictures up from these days when I get time.

June 5th was hot and muggy but June 6th was cooler with lower humidity.

When the cold front came through, it caused many tornados from Iowa through Ohio, including some big ones in Illinois Saturday afternoon, and one just southeast of Toledo just before midnight that killed seven people.

It's now Friday, and this work week has had some more rain but has been nice.

Yesterday at twilight, at the little park across the street, I saw hundreds of lightning bugs flashing.
