I now live in Deland, Florida from mid-November to mid-May, and in Dayton, Ohio the other 6 months. My life is backwards from what 99.9 percent of Americans my age have lived. ...Most were robust and strong when they were young but are now declining. I had a normal happy childhood, but my younger adult life, after the age of 16, was dominated by depression and severe allergies. Then I gradually discovered my problems were rooted in especially severe seasonal affective disorder. I spent my first full winter in Florida in 2010. You could say that was when I was really born, at the age of 56. But the 40 years of suffering from 1970 to 2010 I think are what formed the priorities I have at this moment (see my interests listed here).
This journal covered the transition, from 2006 to 2015.
My Dad, who passed away in 2014, was the only one who read it during those years, partly because I did not try to find friends or communities to promote the writings.
But I might be preparing to revive the journal, and probably find friends on Livejournal, and other similar places, who like to read the entries, and who's entries I will enjoy reading.
